It's actually a hand-me-down from my mom (she got a nicer bike and my old one was falling apart) so I didn't do a lot of comparison shopping for it or anything. I like it, though; it's a good all-purpose city bike, tires are thin enough to be speedy but not so thin they can't absorb some bumps in the road. Which is very important, since there's been a ton of construction here this summer, and I've been riding over some ripped-up pavement. I am more familiar with the state of the roads near me than I ever really wanted to be. The construction has also forced a lot of cars off the freeways onto the roads I bike on, so I'm looking forward to that being over with--nearly every day I pass a line of cars halted behind a person trying to turn left at the no-left-turn sign...Marjoriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15251988631633673844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3743876470050160495.post-44907346835924521962015-08-05T11:49:36.513+01:002015-08-05T11:49:36.513+01:00What a lovely saturday you had. :)

Also, there's a huge roundabout and I would NOT go around that on a bike. I think the forest riding was actually fun. It was quiet enough and people would notice my wobbly-bike approaching and kindly step out of the way for me - ha!Angloyankophilehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13798135990583648390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3743876470050160495.post-10185955311025968572015-08-05T09:25:36.860+01:002015-08-05T09:25:36.860+01:00Same here, Gianni. Andy always seems to find this rather amusing! As I'm not married I can't say I've ever lost a wedding ring, but my mum did lose her engagement ring once!!
